Australia's biggest annual craft beer poll into Australia's favourite craft beer has once been run and the results are in! Mountain Culture Status Quo has taken out first place, an impressive feat for a brewery that only started in 2019 and had only entered GABS Hottest 100 for the first time this year. It is the first time a beer on its debut has made the top spot. Mountain Culture had a great first showing in the polls with three other beers in the top 100 list, including Cult IPA which came 15th place. Mountain Culture which is owned by DJ and Harriet McCready first opened in 2019 in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. They quickly won a stack of fans and have grown the business rapidly. In 2021 they opened a second brewery, their production facility, in Emu Plains at the foot of the Blue Mountains. The poll run by GABS, or the annual festival also known as the 'Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular' is a people's choice poll decided by beer-lovers around the country. Now in its 15th year, over 60,000 people took part, a new record.TASTE THE BEERS Want a taste of the best beers in the poll?
